Our Practice Focuses on Making Family Dental Care Affordable and Accessible
Your first visit to Clearwater Smiles establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During the first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information, like your medical history, and give you time to get to know our doctors and staff. To understand what to expect for your first visit to our practice, please read through this page. You’ll find a map and directions to our office. There’s also information on our first visit procedures. You can even save some time at your first visit by printing out and completing the patient forms in advance of your appointment.
What to Expect
Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that our doctors will have all of the needed information to provide you with the best possible care. We will ask many questions about your medical history. Please bring a list of any medications, herbs and supplements you may be taking. We will take some low radiation digital X-rays and do a thorough exam for oral cancer, gum disease and decay. Our doctors will then take some photos of your teeth which will be used to show you any areas of concern and needed treatment. We look forward to your first visit.
Insurance and Billing
We accept most traditional insurance plans, and we will be happy to file your insurance claims for you. We are Preferred Providers (PPO) for the following dental plans: Aetna/Aetna Discount/Assurant, Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal Employee Program/Florida Combined Life, Delta Dental, Guardian, MetLife/Safeguard, Principal/Reliance Standard/Ameritas, United Concordia, Humana, Cigna and Argus. ClearwaterSmiles does not participate in Health (HMO) or Dental (DMO) Management Organizations.
