Cleanings and Gum Treatments

Dental cleanings by the hygienist keep your smile bright.  This preventative care is designed to safeguard your oral health and keep costs down by avoiding disease.  Our experienced hygienists also offer conservative treatment of early gum disease (deep cleanings).  We can diagnose early dental decay through regular cleanings and examinations.  This enables us to treat these conditions before the situation becomes severe, leading to more expensive treatment.

Teeth Bleaching

We make custom fitted bleaching trays for home use.  We professionally design them so the chemicals do the work in the right place at the right concentration.  With our help, you can brighten your smile.

Laser Dentistry and Bleaching

Laser Teeth Whitening

A smile can also be brightened in our office in about 90 minutes.  Dr. Williams places a special safe gel on the enamel and then applies a laser.  The patient leaves with an immediate lightening of the teeth and this option also includes the above mentioned at home bleaching kit.

 Laser Cavity Removal

Dr. Williams can use the erbium dental laser to clean out small cavities and prepare teeth for composite tooth colored fillings.  The laser helps to reduce the use of the dental drill with its high pitched noise and vibration.  In some instances we are able to use the laser to remove decay without the use of anesthetic (numbing).

Laser Canker and Cold Sore Therapy

Canker sores are very painful and usually occur on the loose tissues inside the mouth.  Cold sores (fever blisters) erupt on the lips and sometimes on the hard, tight gums inside the mouth.  They can be unsightly as well as painful.  Dr. Williams’ lasers are gently used to reduce the pain and healing time of canker and cold sores.

Laser Treatment of Gum Disease

Dr. Williams uses lasers to assist in treatment of certain types of inflammatory gum disease (periodontitis).  The lasers are used to carefully treat diseased tissues and reduce bacteria levels in gum pockets.  Laser application is provided as an adjunct to deep cleanings.  An antiseptic irrigant is applied during the deep cleaning and timed release antibiotics may also be placed in the gum pockets.

Composite Tooth Colored Fillings

Tooth colored composite fillings look great and add strength to teeth (adhesive dentistry) in a way that silver fillings never could.  Used in tandem with the laser, they become a powerhouse of comfort and prevention.  

Porcelain Crowns and Bridges

Fillings by definition “fill” a tooth.  There are times when there is not enough tooth structure left to support a filling.  When this happens, adhesive dentistry has another solution for beauty and strength: porcelain crowns and bridgework.  These full coverage restorations surround and support missing tooth structure using modern adhesives.  For maximum esthetics, all porcelain crowns may be used to avoid the gray gum lines sometimes associated with traditional crowns.

Porcelain Veneers (Laminates)

Thin and strong porcelain facings can be bonded to teeth to correct coloration, unesthetic shapes, chips, cracks and gaps.  The advantage of veneers is that a minimal amount of natural tooth substance is removed so that the teeth remain largely intact.  In most cases the veneers can be placed in two appointments.

lmplant Restorations

 Natural teeth are priceless but you may already have missing teeth, or lose one unexpectedly.  Dental implants placed by a periodontist can provide replacement roots (without damaging adjacent teeth).  Dr. Williams can then build porcelain crowns and bridges upon the implants - similar to natural teeth.   Removable dental work such a dentures can be clipped into place and securely used with confidence and pride with implant support as well.

Dentures, Partials, Repairs and Relines

We make custom dentures and partials which are personalized for each patient.  Partial dentures can be made without unsightly wires.  We welcome repairs and relines to existing dentures and partials.  When properly scheduled, repairs and relines can be completed within the same business day.
